Close your lips around IQoro as if giving a tight smile. When pulling IQoro outwards, your mouth should be shaped like a tight smile and your teeth should not be visible.
In our customer support information we also sometimes describe it as closing your lips around IQoro as if you are trying to say the letter ‘M’ but without actually making the sound.
A common error people make is pursing their lips instead of producing a tight smile or trying to say ‘M’. If you do this, you will not get the same effect from your training.
After a stroke or if, for some reason, you have difficulty pressing your lips together even without IQoro in your mouth, you may need to use a so-called jaw grip during training.
Note that this grip should only be used when there is reduced muscle strength in the lips and not to enable you to pull harder on IQoro.
